A couple of years ago, isoplus Piping Systems launched the innovatory welding saddle branch, and with the Dutch market as our spearhead the product has long ago seen its breakthrough.
– In 2016, more than 4,000 saddle branches were installed in the Netherlands alone. This is a considerable number, which is likely to increase this year, says Jens Rasmussen, technical manager at isoplus Piping Systems.
Due to the high water level, low-lying Netherlands provides difficult work conditions for pipe installation work. Using saddle branches shortens the process and makes it easier to install branches and this, of course, is quite popular.
Short installation time
– The installation takes only short time, usually about 15 minutes, and costs are reduced because there is no need to fit in a T-branch. Besides, the process does not require a lot of tools. The saddle branch can be welded on with our new 230 V isowelder compact so there is no need for a generator, Jens Rasmussen explains.
He adds that the branch saddle provides a tight joint that is leakage tested and delivered with full documentation of all welding data.
It is the most reliable and effective branch solution on the market. We still haven’t received our first complaint about saddle branches, i.e. the results speak for themselves, Jens Rasmussen concludes.
